Rockit Science Agency

KVCR/NPR

Selected to rebrand San Bernardino, California public radio station.

KVCR/NPR

KVCR, an NPR radio station based in San Bernardino, California, determined that they needed to increase brand awareness and update their outdated brand identity. The new identity needed to elevate and reposition the brand - going beyond where NPR is taking the national brand while exploring the paths of new and existing listeners.

Media is segmented, increasing the challenges of media outlets when it comes to capturing and retaining audiences. KVCR receives limited advertising and marketing support from NPR on a national level, providing generic materials that often weaken the public radio station’s brand.

A Great Way To Smart Your Day

Rockit Science Agency developed a print advertising campaign aimed at increasing the perception of KVCR/NPR in the minds of new and existing listeners. KVCR integrated the new brand into Twitter and Facebook activities.

Tune In To Awesome

The Agency wanted listeners to utilize the KVCR brand for their one-stop daily news feed. KVCR has increased their listener audience and has had a record year for contributions, which has been attributed to the revitalized brand and campaign awareness. Additional public radio stations adopted the campaign after KVCR’s success.

The Part Where We Talk About the Awards We’ve Won

In 2010, KVCR’s consumer trade advertising campaign won a local gold ADDY award. Individual ads in the campaign also won two local silver ADDY awards. The ads rewarded were entitled “Smart Your Day” and “News Burger.”

So…what exactly did we do? Back to Top.
