EATEL is a 75 year old regional company that built their own local phone system and today has grown into one of the most innovative communication companies. Providing a suite of services including TV, Internet and Phone, Eatel is one of the only 100% fiber-to-the-home networks in the country. Rockit Science was delighted to develop comprehensive communication strategies to introduce a new advanced IPTV television brand product. The unique challenge required the brand to not only engage their loyal customer base, but shift the mindsets of new customers who were experiencing television via cable or satellite providers.
Using consumer research, Rockit Science created nomenclature and a brand identity that was further market tested to determine its appeal with existing and new customers. The LightWave TV brand was born out of this process, giving new life to one of the nation’s only fiber-to-the-home network.
A Full Spectrum Campaign
A vast array of communication tactics were developed that included Out of Home, Print Advertising, Television, POP Showroom Displays, Animated Web Banners, and Direct Mail along with User and Service Manuals.
Multiple television spots were created utilizing an award-winning team of filmmakers and animators responsible for CGI in such films as Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter and Men in Black. The music was created by the Generationals. Their music has been featured in VW and Ford television spots. The voice over talent has been featured in Starbucks and Nokia television spots.
Interactive Microsite on the Interwebz
A LightWave TV teaser site was launched to attract technology’s early adopters. Later, a fully-functional microsite was developed that provided extensive product details, FAQs and video walkthroughs. Facebook vanity pages were created to promote LightWave TV, as well as Social Media strategies for sharing the new product across Twitter and other outlets. The sites were developed specifically for mobile and tablet viewing.
