National digital campaign

From websites to mobile applications the future is being built on code. The recent shift in the industry, led by Google, to attract female programmers has encouraged the modernization and increased desire to educate high school students on the opportunity that computer sciences offers. Rockit Science Agency was engaged by LSU Computer Science to tell the unique stories of multiple computer science students from variant backgrounds who selected to venture into the world of programming.

The Agency’s scope of work included an integrated digital advertising campaign as well as advising on digital media buys. A microsite was created as a digital portal to measure engagement and applications to the LSU Computer Science program. The Agency pre-tested creative with high school students and existing computer science students to ensure the new message position and creative execution resonated with the intended target’s mindset. The primary focus of the campaign was recruitment of new applications into the computer science program; however, a secondary focus to attract female demographics was developed as a thread throughout creative execution. The Agency’s engagement led to a 20% increase over previous ad campaigns and tactical executions.
